Students Eligible for Enrollment in Unfilled Quotas in Undergraduate Programs for International Students for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

Registration will take place on September 21–22, 2026 (9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.) in person or through a representative with a notarized power of attorney.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS ADMITTED TO YILDIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

 

The documents required for registration are as follows:

 

  1. The original high school diploma and a Turkish translation certified by a notary or a Turkish diplomatic mission abroad with an Apostille, [Registration will not be accepted based on a graduation certificate alone. However, in exceptional cases, students who are unable to obtain their diplomas from their graduating school and apply with a temporary graduation certificate must submit the original diploma by the end of the semester in which they are enrolled (the end date of the Fall semester as specified in the Academic Calendar for the relevant academic year). Students who fail to submit their original diplomas within this period will have their registration canceled by the Office of Student Affairs.]

     

  2. For Turkish citizens who completed their high school education abroad: A “Certificate of Equivalency” issued by the Embassies or Consulates of the Republic of Turkey or the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, certifying that the high school diploma is equivalent to diplomas issued by Turkish high schools, [Students must submit the original “Equivalency Certificate” by the end of the semester in which they are enrolled (the end date of the Fall semester as specified in the Academic Calendar for the relevant academic year). Students who fail to submit proof of diploma equivalency within this period will have their registrations canceled.]

     

  3. The original document showing the graduation GPA and a Turkish translation certified by a notary or a Turkish diplomatic mission,

     

  4. The original copy of the exam result certificate used in the application and its notarized Turkish translation (a copy of the TR-YÖS Exam Result Certificate with a QR code, obtained from the ÖSYM system),

     

  5. A certified copy of the page showing personal information from an ID card or passport,

     

  6. Tuition must be paid in order to complete registration,

     

  7. A “Student Visa” to be obtained from Turkish diplomatic missions abroad, [Applicants without a Student Visa must fall under the category of foreign nationals for whom a Student Visa is not required, in accordance with the principles established by the General Directorate of Security.]

     

  8. Six passport-sized photographs taken within the last 6 months,

     

  9. If available, the original and a certified copy of a valid Turkish language proficiency certificate, [Not required for students holding a Blue Card or Turkish citizens.]

     

  10. Foreign National ID Number (YU), if available,

     

  11. An extract from the Population Registry with a record of legal status for dual nationals who were foreign nationals by birth and later acquired Turkish citizenship,

     

  12. Financial Support Declaration Form,

     

  13. For Turkish citizens who attended high school abroad, a document approved by the General Directorate of Security showing their entry into and exit from the country,

     

  14. YTÜ International Student Registration Commitment Form.

     

  15. For students holding a Blue Card, two copies of the certified copy of the population registry: one with restricted access and one with unrestricted access.

 

 

WARNING:

 

Students who have earned primary enrollment status can access their acceptance letter through the OBS system. (Acceptance letters created for students with primary enrollment status to enter the country have not been issued for students with Turkish ID numbers beginning with 99 and 98, as they are not required. Additionally, admission letters for students currently enrolled at other higher education institutions cannot be generated and sent to the YÖKSİS System. These students must have their enrollment canceled at their current universities before proceeding with the registration process.)

 

Students are required to register during the first semester in which they are admitted to the program. Students who do not register during the registration period are deemed to have waived their rights.

 

Foreign students who have registered must obtain a student residence permit issued by the competent authorities of the Ministry of the Interior in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection in order to reside in Turkey for the purpose of studying. They must obtain this permit within 90 (ninety) days and submit it to the Office of Student Affairs.
