Ways to Submit Requests, Suggestions, and Complaints, and to Obtain Information and Documents

In accordance with our quality standards, the response time (except in cases requiring extensive research and review) is no later than five business days.

Pursuant to Article 7 of Law No. 3071 on the Exercise of the Right to Petition: Turkish citizens and foreign nationals residing in Turkey who submit petitions to the competent authorities regarding their own affairs or matters of public interest shall receive a reasoned response regarding the outcome of their petition or the status of the ongoing process within thirty days at the latest. If the status of the proceedings is disclosed, the outcome shall also be communicated.

According to Article 11 of the Freedom of Information Act No. 4982: “Public institutions and organizations shall provide access to the requested information or documents within fifteen business days of the request. However, if the requested information or document must be obtained from another unit within the institution or organization to which the request was made; if the opinion of another institution or organization must be sought regarding the request; or if the content of the request concerns more than one institution or organization, access to the information or document shall be provided within thirty business days. In such cases, the extension of the deadline and the reason for it shall be notified to the applicant in writing before the expiration of the fifteen-business-day period.”

Turkish citizens and foreign nationals residing in Turkey who submit requests or complaints regarding themselves or public matters to the competent authorities will receive a reasoned response regarding the outcome of their request or the status of the ongoing process within thirty days at the latest. For requests made under the Right to Information Law, this period is set at 15 business days.
